The Regional Group Munich proudly presents: a lecture on Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in cooperation with DAAD guest professor Dr. Zishan Gao and Dr. med. Josef Hummelsberger (former president of the International Society for Chinese Medicine).

17:00 – 17:10: Opening and Welcome

• 17:10 – 17:40: Session 1: The History, Development, and Scientific Evidence of Acupuncture – Speaker: Prof. Dr. Zishan Gao
• 17:45 – 18:15: Session 2: Treatment of Allergic Rhinitis and Allergic Diseases with Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine – Speaker: Prof. Dr. med. Josef Hummelsberger
• 18:20 – 18:40: Session 3: Clinical Demonstration of Acupuncture, TCM & Taiji – Speakers: Prof. Dr. Zishan Gao & Prof. Dr. med. Josef Hummelsberger

During this session, we will first explore the historical and scientific foundations of acupuncture and TCM for various conditions, including chronic pain. Following this, Dr. med. Josef Hummelsberger will present an evidence-based approach to treating allergic rhinitis and other allergic diseases using acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Finally, there will be a clinical demonstration of acupuncture, TCM, and Taiji, focusing on specific conditions of interest from participants, such as headaches, chronic back pain, neck pain, dysmenorrhea, and allergic diseases.
